The Rules set out Below are for the well being and protection of our Beautiful stock of carp and to ensure they are with us for many years to come,Please read carefully the restrictions as by making a booking with us you are agreeing to our rules, anyone found to be Breaking the rules will be asked to leave. This will be strictly enforced.
• Mats, landing nets and slings are provided and must be returned to the hanger at the end of your stay.
• No Sacking or Retention of the Carp
• No anglers under 18
BAIT
• The only bait that can be brought to and used At Jay Lake is fresh or fresh frozen boilies to ensure optimum nutrition for our carp and more carp on the bank for you as quality bait always out fishes the rest.
• We supply Carp pellet, and particle mix and these are the only items you can use here other than your Boilies.
• Our pellets can be bought at the lake. This is the pellets the fish are regualy feed so they are definaly switched on to it. Please do not bring pellet with you. Pellet denatures fast and we would love to let you bring your own but we need to control the quality and freshness of the food feed to our fish. Our Carp Pellet 20 kilo sacks are 60euros 10mm
• Our maze or partical mix can be bought at the lake please let use know if you would like some ready for your arrival or you can order it through the week. Our large bucket of partical is 30 euros.
• No shelf life boilies
No nuts.
Rigs
• Minimum 18lb mainline and hook link. No braided main line (except for marker and spod rods).
• please be aware that all anglers will need to verify the safety of there rigs before starting fishing
• No leaders of ANY description including lead core, no knots in main line.
• Barbless hooks only.
• No plastic baits.
• Hook link must be tied with ONE material only. Coated braid not stripped back. In other words, NO combi-links.
• Bait boats are allowed but please do not fish at excessive range .
• MAXIMUM of three rods per angler. No rods to be left unattended at any time even with remotes. This is a rule we are very strick on as it puts the fish at unnessary risk.
• A minimum of 1m of anti tangle tubing must be used on all rods. Idealy glued so it cannot slide.
• Strictly no preditor fishing
• Carp care antiseptic must be carried by every angler.
• No sacking of fish. You may keep fish in a retainer for a MAXIMUM of TEN minutes to prepare weighing and camera equipment.
• All fish over 30lb MUST be weighed and photographed in the water. Please bring waders with you.
• No drugs; alcohol in moderation. Anyone that has enjoyed too much to drink should sleep it off in the house and not fish or use the pool until they have sobered up.
• Do NOT leave litter or food waste in your swim, this includes cigarette butts.
• No fires. BBQ only in the graveled areas.
House rules
The gite will be ready for you by 3pm but if you want to set up your fishing gear you can arrive at 1:30pm please do not arrive any earlier as we need time to do the changeover. You must be off site by10am on the day of departure.
• No smoking in the house please use ashtrays provide
• No pet
• Please do not flush down the toilet any sanitary products , nappies, baby wipe. French plumbing connot handle baby wipes ect and will block if this happen during your stray because of miss use you will loose your security deposit.
•Please do not use any bleach products, this interferes with the workings of the septic tank.
Swimming pool
• No glass of any description in the swimming pool area. If you want to drink in the pool area please use the plastic cups provided in the kitchen.
• No diving
• All childern must be suppervised at all times
• When the pool is not in use the cover must be on at all the time. This is for your saftey. The saftey cover is fixed in place with 2 security fixings. Only adults are to remove this cover and by removing the cover they are taking responsibly for the saftey of the pool. Please ensure you lock the cover back in place when you are not using the pool.
